At Belle Academy of Cosmetology, we offer a variety of programs including Nail Technician and Eyelash Technician Certification classes. Our goal is to equip you with the essential skills needed for a successful career in beauty. Each program is designed for immersive learning, emphasizing real-world application and certification readiness.
We provide specialized classes in both Nail and Eyelash techniques that cater to aspiring beauty professionals. With our expert instructors and hands-on training sessions, you will learn everything necessary to start your journey in the beauty industry, from foundational skills to advanced techniques. We will be eventually offering Makeup and Esthetics again in the coming year so check back!
The State of CT requires that you take a hands-on course at an approved school for Connecticut licensing. View the Nail Technician Information including requirements from CT.GOV -> HERE

How can I enroll in a program?
Great question! You can enroll by calling us at (203) 528-0200 and we’ll give you all the information you need, answer any questions you have at that time or later when you think of more! You can also download our Master Catalog on this website.
What are the prerequisites for courses?
There are no education prerequisites needed to take a class at Belle Academy or at one of the Belle Academy Satellite locations. If you have the desire and ambition to earn yourself a career as a Nail or Eyelash technician you are good to go.
When do classes begin and end?
You can take a day class at the Belle Academy location in Waterbury or a day or night class at one of our satellite locations. View our Class schedule document for more details. Class lengths vary for night and day classes.
Can I attend part-time or evening classes?
Certainly. Our Satellite locations offer part-time day and night classes. See the Class Schedule Document for details. Most Nail tech and Lash tech day classes are 2 days a week for day classes and 3 nights a week for night classes.
Are financial aid options available?
Not for Nail or Eyelash courses. There are a few resources out there you can use. You can also use a Tax Refund if available or credit card, or a private loan for education.

How many hours of training is required for a Nail Tech?
The classes for a Nail Technician Certification are 100 hours in the State of CT. The classes for an Eyelash Technician Certification are 50 hours in the State of CT.
How do I take a course in a satellite location?
Call us at (203) 528-0200 or fill out and submit the form on our Contact Us page and we or one of our team from the Satellite location in question will contact you.
I don't have a car, how can I attend a class?
We are investigating busing and with the diversity of our many locations you could find a school right on a bus or train route.
